A vacancy has arisen for the position of Process Leader within the Operations Department (PET) at Simonds Farsons Cisk plc.

 

The selected candidate will be responsible for leading, coordinating, and motivating a multi-skilled team to ensure that daily operational schedules are completed efficiently, safely, and in line with standard operating procedures and quality standards.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, motivate, and develop the team to achieve planned output and quality targets while ensuring full compliance with Health & Safety guidelines.
  • Monitor and review team performance, identifying areas for improvement and supporting employee development through ongoing feedback and performance reviews.
  • Achieve shift KPI targets and report any operational issues to management.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve product and plant issues, liaising with the maintenance team when necessary.
  • Support the implementation of lean manufacturing principles, including 5S, Kaizen events, and other continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain clear and consistent communication between management and team members to ensure smooth and efficient shift operations.

 

Requirements

  • A Leadership or Management Diploma (MQF Level 5); candidates with a technical qualification and/or Wireman Licence A and B will be considered favourably.
  • 3–5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role (preferably within a lean manufacturing setting).
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, and coaching skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
  • Solid understanding of quality systems and processes.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of managing multiple priorities effectively.
